Director Dermot Daly, one of the hosts at Leeds Playhouse had this to say about being involved in Playwrights Flashmob:
‘Writers are the lifeblood of theatre, the reason why theatrical hearts beat. Playwrights in the hearts of their theatres, meeting, talking, writing, thinking, making and doing it at the same time up and down the nation allows for a sense of community. Seeing this happen last year allowed for connection and a louder heartbeat; time to do that again’

Written Jane Upton, directed by directed by Angharad Jones.
Our friends at New Perspectives are kindly offering a discount for Support Playwrights subscribers on tickets for (the) Woman at Park Theatre running until 25th October.
Fiercely funny and brutally honest, award-winning writer Jane Upton’s Bruntwood Prize shortlisted play shatters the glossy veneer of motherhood, exposing its raw, messy truth, and dares to question the definition of (her) self.
You can see the show that got five stars in The Guardian (“blends bellyaching humour with intimate revelations”) for just £15 by using code TWM15 when booking.
Enjoy!
